Libby Irwin is the founder and CEO of Michigan-based Irwin Event Production LLC. She is an accomplished event management leader with extensive experience organizing and implementing corporate conferences and events and leading effective presentations and programs. Libby is skilled in facilitating large-scale projects for internal stakeholders and high-profile sponsors and has expertise in managing programs from inception to successful completion. She has an exceptional ability to multi-task and possesses excellent decision-making, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and budgeting skills.
From 1996 through 2022, Libby produced all global conferences as well as high touch executive dinners, special events, meetings and tradeshows for Automotive News, Automotive News Europe and Automotive News Canada. Her past production experience also includes Automotive News China and AutoWeek. During her tenure with the Automotive News Group, she grew the business from a handful of events each year to over two dozen signature programs, including the flagship Automotive News World Congress, the Retail Forum events and the highly successful Leading Women Conference.
Libby got her start in event production as the special events manager for the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau. During her time there, she led and coordinated the logistics for all DMCVB familiarization tours, tradeshows, road shows and special projects.
A University of Michigan graduate, Libby lives on Detroit’s east side and enjoys rowing on the Detroit River, oftentimes with her identical twin sister.
